What is Aktivismo and what is the Campaign Creator?

Aktivismo is our project that allows you to become politically or socially active quickly, easily and free of charge. We are building a platform that makes effective campaigning easier, understandable, motivating and practical in everyday life.

The Campaign Creator is the first major building block of this platform: an AI-powered tool that helps you think through your campaign, structure your ideas and generate usable drafts and building blocks that you can edit, refine and share.

Who is the Campaign Creator intended for?

The Campaign Creator is ideal for you if you have an idea, want to make a change and are looking for orientation, structure and inspiration – whether you are just starting out, active in an initiative, involved in an association or supporting an organisation.

It is especially helpful if you want to clarify your direction, develop concrete next steps or create a solid starting point, without staring at a blank page or spending hours trying to get everything perfect.

How do I use the Campaign Creator?

Start with your campaign mission and describe your purpose and what you want to change in your own words. Then select appropriate campaign goals.

Optionally, you can add additional details, such as background information, target groups, location, time frame, specific demands or tone. Then let the AI generate the content.

Finally, the most important step: carefully review and edit all results before publishing or using them, adapt them to your needs, and ensure that everything is correct, fair and responsible.

What types of campaigns can I create with it?

With the Campaign Creator, you can create different types of campaigns depending on your goals. You can generate content to spread knowledge and awareness, build a community, plan events, formulate demands, address decision-makers, recruit allies and collect signatures or donations. You decide what goals you set.

What do I need to enter to get really good results?

To get really good results, one thing helps above all else: providing as many concrete, honest details as possible about your campaign idea.

The more clearly you describe what exactly you want to achieve, who you want to address, the context in which you work and what limitations or framework conditions exist, the more relevant the suggestions will be.

Does Aktivismo use AI (artificial intelligence)?

Yes. Our Campaign Creator uses AI to create suitable texts, suggestions and campaign building blocks based on your input.

Important to note: AI does not take away your responsibility, it helps you come up with a strong draft and campaign actions more quickly. You decide what to use, how to adapt it and whether it really fits your mission.

Can I use the generated texts freely?

Yes! You can use the generated texts freely to further your campaign.

It is only important to us that you check everything thoroughly before use, because AI texts can sound good, but still be inaccurate, inappropriate or misleading in places.

If you refine it and check the facts, it can turn into something really powerful, saving you tons of time in the process.

How do you ensure that the content is responsible?

To ensure that content remains responsible, we use automatic moderation and block certain topics that pose a high risk of harm. In particular, we block hate speech, privacy violations, misinformation, anti-democratic content, discrimination, human rights violations and extremism.

At the same time, even if a text is generated, the responsibility for publication and use always lies with you. We expressly ask you to critically review, phrase things fairly and not endanger anyone or their rights.

Does AI consume resources?

Yes, AI consumes resources, and it would be dishonest to downplay that. All digital activity costs energy: web searches, streaming, cloud storage, emails and writing texts on the computer.

What matters is what the energy is used for and whether it saves time and unnecessary loops elsewhere. We use AI in our Campaign Creator to provide you with structure and good wording more quickly, so that you can take action faster and work more efficiently.

For us, this is a meaningful use of AI: as a tool that empowers people to make the world a little better.

Is AI harmful to our society?

AI can be harmful to society, for example through disinformation, manipulation, discrimination or polarisation. That’s why clear boundaries and responsible use are so important. The Campaign Creator automatically blocks harmful content and consistently reminds you to check everything before publication.

Furthermore, generating campaign texts is not about replacing jobs, but about supporting volunteers who want to make an impact, but often have little time or experience. We don’t want to replace anyone, but rather take work off your hands, provide structure and free up your time, so that you can put more energy into real actions, building community and leading change.

How is Aktivismo funded?

Aktivismo is here for everyone who wants to make a difference with no paywalls, no “upgrade to continue” and no barriers to getting started. We believe taking action shouldn’t depend on your wallet. That’s why creating campaigns on Aktivismo will remain free, so every idea gets a fair chance to make real, impactful change in the world.

To keep Aktivismo running sustainably and growing over time, we may use funding approaches that do not make your activism more difficult. This could include, for example, taking a fair percentage or fees on donations generated through Aktivismo, as well as other models that support hosting, development and community work.

What’s fixed and non-negotiable is this: Aktivismo will never create extra costs for you. No hidden fees, no mandatory subscriptions and no surprises when you click “Create”. If money is involved, we’ll be transparent and we’ll keep Aktivismo accessible for everyone.

How does Aktivismo protect my data?

We take data protection very seriously and process your personal data only when we need it to provide Aktivismo, keep the service secure, or when you have given consent. We follow the principles of data minimisation and privacy by design, and we aim to collect only what is necessary for your account and the features you use. You stay in control: you can review and update your account information, adjust settings where available, and request deletion of your account and data through the app.

“Aktivismo” is Esperanto for “activism”. Esperanto is a deliberately created, easy-to-learn language designed as a neutral bridge between people with different native languages – a way to communicate on equal terms rather than putting one language above others.

For us, that fits Aktivismo’s values perfectly: we want to make civic action accessible, bring people together across borders and build an open, welcoming platform with an international spirit.
