Code of
Conduct
Welcome to our Code of Conduct! We want Aktivismo to be a place where people can engage constructively, learn from each other and create real-world impact together. This Code of Conduct sets clear, easy-to-understand rules for respectful and fair use. It applies whenever you use our website, our app, or any features we provide through them.
What Aktivismo stands for
Aktivismo supports constructive, non-violent civic participation and respectful debate. We welcome different perspectives, including controversial discussions, as long as they remain respectful and protect everyone’s dignity. Freedom of expression matters and so does a safe environment in which people are not intimidated or harmed.
Where this Code applies
This Code of Conduct applies to your behaviour and your content when you use Aktivismo. This includes content you create in the app, campaign drafts and published campaigns, and any content shared through campaign links. It also applies to messages you send to us through our contact form. Some community features such as public profiles, comments, or chats may be introduced later; if and when they exist, this Code will apply there as well.
Treat each other with respect
Please treat others the way you would like to be treated. You can challenge ideas and positions, but do not attack people. Insults, intimidation, targeted humiliation, bullying, sexual harassment and repeated bad-faith disruption of conversations are not acceptable. We take special care that no one is attacked or excluded because of origin, skin colour, language, religion or belief, gender, sexual identity, disability, age, or social background.
Non-violence and safety
Aktivismo is a non-violent space. Content that calls for violence, glorifies violence, or contains concrete threats is not allowed. The same applies to content that encourages criminal offences, fraud, hacking, stalking, doxxing, or coordinated harassment. If you discuss difficult topics, do so responsibly and avoid putting others at risk.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services first. Aktivismo cannot provide emergency assistance.
Content that does not belong on Aktivismo
You can express your opinion on Aktivismo, but content must be lawful and respect the rights of others. We do not allow hate speech, incitement to hatred, extremist propaganda, defamation, harassment, stalking, or the non-consensual sharing of intimate content. Content involving the sexualisation of minors or content that endangers children and young people is strictly prohibited.
Aktivismo is also not a place for spam, chain messages, bulk posting without meaningful content, or deceptive behaviour such as impersonation, fabricated “evidence”, manipulated screenshots presented as real, or misleading claims designed to trick other users.
You are responsible for what you share
You are responsible for the content you create or share through Aktivismo. Please only use and share content if you have the necessary rights to do so, including for text, images, graphics and videos. If you quote sources, do so fairly and accurately. If you notice a mistake, correcting it is welcome.
Privacy and personal data
Please respect privacy. Do not publish personal data about other people without their clear permission, such as addresses, private phone numbers, ID documents, or precise location data. Be careful with screenshots and documents. If you need to show evidence for a report, share only what is necessary and redact sensitive information where possible.
Reporting concerns and contacting us
If you see content or behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it via our contact form. To help us review quickly, describe what happened and, if possible, include a link or a short reference to the relevant content.
We review reports carefully and as promptly as reasonably possible. Depending on the situation, we may ask follow-up questions, temporarily restrict visibility while we review, and take measures that are proportionate to the severity of the issue.
How enforcement works
If content or behaviour violates this Code, our Terms of Use, third-party rights, or legal requirements, we may take action. This can include removing or restricting access to content, limiting features, issuing warnings, or suspending or terminating accounts. In serious cases, or where legally required, we may take steps to protect affected people and share information with relevant authorities.
Mistakes and appeals
We aim to make decisions that are understandable and fair, but we can be wrong. If you believe a decision was made in error, you can contact us and explain why. If relevant, include context or clarifying information, and we will review the case again.
Updates to this Code
Aktivismo will evolve. If we introduce new features or legal requirements change, we may update this Code of Conduct. The current version will always be available on our website and in the app.
Thank you for being part of it!
Thank you for helping make Aktivismo a respectful, constructive and safe space. If you have questions or you are unsure whether something is okay, please contact us via the contact form and we will help you in a friendly and straightforward way.
