There is a moment that can feel almost insignificant. A click, a brief instant, and suddenly a finished text appears in front of you. Clearly phrased, well structured, ready to be used. This is exactly where something begins that we at Aktivismo keep returning to and take seriously ourselves. Responsibility does not end at this point. In many ways it truly begins there.
The appeal of quick results
I notice in myself how tempting it is when a rough idea quickly turns into a written proposal. The Campaign Creator takes away the blank page and the initial uncertainty. It offers direction and makes it easier to get started. At the same time it creates the risk that the result is seen as complete too quickly. A well sounding text can give a sense of confidence, even if it has not yet been fully thought through. This is why we try to slow down this moment deliberately.
Between draft and conviction
For us, a generated text is always a draft, never a final version. It can organise thoughts and offer phrasing, but it does not yet carry a genuine conviction. That only emerges through the person who reads, reviews and reshapes it. We do not see this step as extra work but as the very core of engagement. It is about asking whether the text truly reflects what you want to say and what you stand for. Without this step, even a convincing text remains superficial.
Responsibility remains with the individual
Technology can make many things easier, but it cannot take on responsibility. This understanding is fundamental for us. When content is shared, it influences other people, discussions and real situations. That is why it is important to remain aware of one’s own role. I do not see Aktivismo as a place where responsibility is distributed, but as a place where it remains visible. Every decision to share or use a text is a conscious act.
Care as part of engagement
We have chosen to continually remind people to review, adapt and question what they create. This is not a technical instruction but an expression of a broader attitude. Care belongs to engagement just as much as motivation or creativity. It means checking facts, reconsidering wording and thinking about possible consequences. This process takes time, but it builds trust and credibility. And these are essential if something is meant to have real impact.
Boundaries as orientation
Another part of our responsibility lies in setting boundaries. We deliberately exclude certain kinds of content because we know that words can cause harm. At the same time we cannot anticipate every decision. We therefore understand these boundaries as guidance rather than complete protection. They are meant to create a framework within which responsible action is possible. Everything beyond that remains a matter of personal judgement.
A conscious second look
Perhaps it is this second look that makes the difference. The moment after generating, when you pause and ask whether the text truly expresses what you want to say. For us, this is not an obstacle but a part of the process that makes engagement credible. Aktivismo cannot replace that moment, but it can remind you of it. And perhaps that is one of its most important roles.
